Drawing inspiration from the relics of the past and the narratives they hold, Aveta aims to create jewelry with a touch of magic, evoking delight in those whom they adorn.

Aveta embraces the beauty of imperfection, viewing it as a symbol of the natural cycle of life and creation. Her jewelry, with its slightly weathered aesthetic, carries a sense of history and belonging, aiming to create a balance between ancient and futuristic - looking to the past for inspiration yet thinking how to create a new, more authentic future.

Each piece of jewelry designed by Aveta is a testament to the stories and emotions that shape our lives. She uses her own emotional landscape to inspire and imbue her jewelry with meaning, transmuting her feelings into thoughtfully crafted jewelry. She hopes that this will inspire others to embrace their own narratives, and use them to forge a more beautiful and embracing internal and external world.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Ashley Volbeda founded Aveta Studio in 2019, two years after graduating from the Jewelry Program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The brand's name honors her Italian grandmother who was one of the most important figures that inspired her through the jewelry she wore and left behind.

Originally from San Diego, CA, and having had the privilege of visiting family on the picturesque coasts of Italy and the Netherlands as a child, Ashley's creativity is deeply inspired by these Ancient cities and the oceans and seas they reside along. The tales and myths that immortalize these places further fuel her imagination, shaping her artistic vision.

She is captivated by the idea that jewelry has been a part of human history for millennia and will continue to tell our stories for centuries to come.
